Telecommunications in Tanzania is booming with competitionTelecommunication facilities are available in most parts of the country and are linked to the world through Dar es Salaam. Telecommunications services have continued improving due to efforts of the Tanzania Telecommunications Company (TTCL) and participation of private companies, including CELTEL, MOBITEL, VODACOM and Zantel.


Transport sector has an effective role in contributing to social and economic development of Tanzania. The sector performance has continued to grow due to both government efforts and private sector investment in road rehabilitation, expansion of telecommunications services, modernization of port services, and improvement in marine, railway and air transport services
