Crisis in Darfur - what are you doing to help?
Musicians have composed an album to raise funds for Sudan.  What are you doing to help?

Sudan is the largest African country in terms of area.  Sudanese have a growing economy and one of the fastest growing ICT sectors in the world.  Sudan has the potential to be a leading force in wealth creation in Africa if the government can focus more on the economy.  Unfortunately, Sudanese have a big problem - the crises in the Darfur region.  The African Union has done its best and the UN Chief thinks it's about time United Nations Forces handle the rest. The 15-member Security Council can approve the force without Sudan's approval but it is doubtful any country would contribute troops without Khartoum's consent.

 Capital of Sudan

The Sudanese Capital is Khartoum.  The Khartoum capital proper has a population of well over a million inhabitants, making it the second largest city in the country, but forms with its neighbors, linked by bridges.  Among the city's industries are printing, glass manufacturing, food processing and textiles. However, the economy of Khartoum is still progressing, but poverty is widespread throughout the capital and hence Khartoum has not been able to achieve its full potential.
