The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro.

Cote d'Ivoire is home to the largest church in the world.  Constructed at the cost of $300 million dollars in the 1980's.

The development of cocoa production for export, and foreign investment has made Cote d'Ivoire one of the most prosperous of the tropical African states.  Abidjan is the largest city in Ivory, but the capital is Yamoussoukro.  Abidjan is referred to as the "Paris of West Africa" because of its parks, broad boulevards, universities, exotic fashions and museums.
